Face Time with Red Wine

Through the looking glass of a little green Beetle... Unaffected, I paid little attention to the insufferable ambiance that lent a mere 22 degrees or to an audience of six casual observers who felt it mandatory to applaud the larking about of my camera love child. So we clambered into the cold steel of one such orphaned shopping cart and went on our happy way. Special thanks to the lovely Vicen for featuring me in LOOK 10 ... thanks a million sweetie! The Ties That Bind

I approached the various strands of rope gingerly, and while I spent much of the first day staring hypnotically, in what can only be referred to as a highly suggestive state of uber-confusion, I finally put the rope overlay under enemy control. I figured it would be a pragmatic undertaking, you know, some sort of therapeutic magic potion to lousy days. But all that insatiable weaving, knotting, tying, looping, and wrapping was seriously blowing my mind. After three weeks of (literally) getting caught up and tousled in something that ultimately looked like nothing, I was beginning to have my doubts. But in the end, the DIY project from hell was a veritable triumph as I kicked its sweet little nautical ass into the alpha dog of my closet. Awesome side note: I was stoked to be contacted by the ever-lovely Mimi for Fashion Idol of the Week , so if you haven’t already seen it, please check out my interview … it’s INCREDIBLE! And special thanks go out to Alex of aliens...

The Writing Wall

Affronted by a (practically) nonexistent warning sign, the weather-beaten plastic dangling idly from a nearby telephone pole, clearly stated, Private Property . Even though our previous attempt at this location resulted in a prying patrol car… the graffiti mural, a derelict carcass of a once prominent amusement park, was obviously too wicked to pass blindly. Sprinting around with certain schoolgirl giddiness, the ridiculous amount of camerawhoring was starting to feel like some new Olympic sport. But before finally fleeing the scene, we noticed the black and red letters smeared across the far right side of the building that perhaps claimed an excuse to previous visitors. ' The Devil Made Me Do It' . Disturbing to small degrees, it did seem outwardly apropos to our deviant trespassing acquisition… our forbidden spray paint entertainment.
