These Things Happen

Lolling around the domicile in my obscenely long white tee and neophyte UGG Cardy Classic Boots, feeling somewhat off-colour, the autumn vibes flooding through various corners reveal only remnants of summer. And I’m a bit overzealous at the thought of wearing my fall-ish clothes. If only the climatic indifference (obviously suffering from multiple personality disorder) would make up its mind… and mine!
The social-party inbox prompted a cornucopia of return e-mails, albeit sipping my herbal tea it took, ohhh about a millisecond to wonder and then fully comprehend why English Breakfast tasted horrifically like chicken… next time I must remember to rinse the coffee mug after drinking broth. Sorely embarrassed, but true!

Why do these ridiculous things always happen when I’m feeling less than par, like some kind of sick-girl vendetta or something… lol.

Safely said, these images were shot when I wasn't feeling so death-warmed-over. In the mean time, I'm trying to get over this hellish cold, while the constant reach for tissues has my face clouded in a pillow of white. Ugh.

We are having the same issues with weather here!! Why can't it just be sunny and warm and spring-like instead of every thing all at once? It makes choosing an outfit for the day extremely hard!!

I laughed throughout your post! Multiple personality disorder for the changing weather and the english tea masking itself as chicken flavoured broth. You're really a nong, but in the most pleasant and awesome sort of way haha.

Love the pearls and the studed belt, it may seem that they're oposite things, but in fact the fusion of both gives a cool style.
Also the booties are great.

Tiny Dancer

Ode to pictures galore... we are NOT camera virgins. As the weekend swiftly dwindles away following a saga of dinner parties, Christmas tree mishaps (ornament wars), and that old familiar work hard, play harder mantra… my narcissistic denim tendencies beckoned like the call of the wild. In the very nearly retirement section of my closet they loitered, brooding in uncharacteristic glamour. But with a downcast feeling that pulls you from reverie… bluntly, I knew nothing else compared to the resurgence of my second-skin blue jean baby . And about a week (or more) ago, I was pleasantly taken aback when the lovely Carrie over at Bare Style sent an e-mail and subsequently mailed over a bundle of (unexpected) amazing goodies from her store Bare Accessories . Launching a slightly embarrassing (I won’t lie) celebratory dance, it took all of a minute for the clutch, bangle, and AA leggings to baptize themselves among the legion. Obviously fated to join the ranks of my closet, I can’t wait to tak...

Running with Tinsel

Yes, we're merrymakers in masks and sparkly frocks... Thoughts of Christmas scribble the page like a creative resurrection, but with all this metaphoric graffiti spattering the paper, I still found time to bathe in that ever-prevailing yuletide euphoria. Cookie-cutter homes stood vanguard, bejeweled with twinkling lights and shimmering snowmen… obviously Saint Nick’s navigational route to every fireside in suburbia. And while the December wind and holiday spirit seemed to blow past us, through us, and all around, we hoisted the anchor of expectancy. Celebrating the entrance of yet another year, the artificial Christmas tree now appears a depressing carcass of orphaned tinsel and prehistoric ornaments. But my mind marvels a series of Machiavellian tactics, as contractual obligations of our disheveled shopping bags lends reminder to the rest of the afternoon’s binge retail-activity. This is of course, a fleeting sterilization for those painstaking holiday blue periods. ...

Madame Trouser

Here’s a sight rarely seen… trousers! Bolstering a spunky need for change, the androgynous feel masquerades as something of the fashionably divine. Once ambivalent, I decided to lay down the gauntlet and finally flaunt my denim cutoff infidelities. But where I live, it gets blasted hot, agonizingly so… and this inferno humidity can sometimes lead to stylistic disadvantages among those ever-vindictive wardrobe challenges. I mean seriously, the suburbanite ambiance is crinkled with shades of russet and leaves are falling down like rain, despite the somersaulting 60 to 80 degree variances. A common belief in the world of comfortable apparel repetition … if I wasn’t perpetually addicted to one thing, wouldn’t I just be addicted to another? Perhaps, the proverbial tatty white t-shirt?
