It's always exciting to share new artwork, especially after spending hours, days and sometimes weeks mapping through imaginative ideas and all those billowing clouds of charcoal dust. Through this much-needed experiment of breaking the boundaries of my comfort zone, I'm anxious to develop as an artist... and in the same thought, I know that growth takes time. Until then, I'll keep taking small steps towards something bigger. Sitting at my desk, the sun disappears behind a raincloud that covers the sky in an ominous gloom barely worth mentioning. The Chihuahuas scamper about, searching for a sense of comfort in the corners of the studio with every insignificant stormy rumble. Poor babies.  I  should be working on my drawing but there's a lot of research ahead of me and once I start something, I'm in it.  With that said, I've been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to write for Beautiful Bizarre , a quarterly boutique publication featuring prominent and upcoming artists working in all mediums. Day by day the injury to my index finger seems to be getting better, so I'm wrapping things up on this drawing and slowly moving on to my next.   Decided to go ahead and add this sketchy-sketch eye doodle to the art shop after seeing how it looked on products over at Ohh Deer .
