Dreamy light in the studio.

(Palette knife only- from start to finish)  This was my very first attempt with palette knife painting, and it was incredibly challenging.  There were tears, anxiety, and moments when I wanted to trash the entire project, but I didn't quit and stuck  with it until the end knowing I'd benefit from the experience. Phew, I did it!   

(Palette knife only- In progress shot)  This is the FIRST time I've ever painted with a palette knife.  It's been challenging, nerve-racking, and I've wanted to punch through the canvas a few times already...but it's also been an incredible learning experience. More to come.

I love it!     After a long day of last minute Christmas shopping, this was my snuggle time view.   Calorie free goodies and antique polkadot mushrooms trimming our tree.  We had a wonderful Christmas filled with love, happiness, and complete silliness... there was also a lot of kitchen dancing to a musical soap dispenser that Alex and I confiscated from Mom's house. I'm so grateful for every cherished moment.

This is a partial look at upcoming piece, Seeing You Heterochromia. Since I started painting, I've seemed to maintain my strange fascination with the congenital trait of having different colored eyes in the same person.
