CCV 'Interiors' @ Gristle Art Gallery x Trekell Art Supplies

On November 14, 2015, Gristle Art Gallery and Trekell Art Supplies proudly present ‘Interiors,’ a Copycat Violence Art Collective group exhibition. Featuring a new collection of work from Copycat Violence’s international artists, each piece was created using an 8×10” cradled Trekell George H. Simkims birch panel in a diverse range of artistic styles and mediums.

Delving into the nadir of mind, body and soul, where darkness and light merge with fluid relation, ‘Interiors’, explores the tortuous chambers of desire, fear, dreamscapes and nightmares. Breaching the walls of our haunting inner demons, unresolved feelings, nuanced emotions, and unspoken words, each artist renders their own unique interpretations and surreal visions.

Opening Reception:

Exhibition Dates:

When life gives you lemons... add Patron

Yesterday's climax was hell-bent in every conceivable way, but even as I framed the scope of persuasive language, I'm grateful for silver-linings and unfathomably small miracles. During the course of this picture-taking calamity, I (in retrospect) remorsefully set my clutch on top of the truck and then proceeded to drive off only to remember this ill-constructed act an hour later. So there I am, set deep in the valley of the shadows of horror while driving back to the scene of the crime... where of course, the clutch had turned Houdini and magically disappeared.

But the long and short of it is that when I finally got home, a welcomed voice on the answering machine said they had my belongings safe and sound... minus the cash that had been removed during its prior abduction. So thank you Jessica for finding it, driving 60 miles out of your way so that I could retrieve it, and for saving me unwarranted amounts of angst. And in a sigh of reprieve and raw contentment, I've come …

Historic Home Flood GoFundMe

Any donation you can make is appreciated. If you are unable to donate, you can still help by sharing this story with your friends and family. Thank you so very much.
Less than a year ago, I became a homeowner of a beautiful, old Victorian built in 1870. A dream come true but recently a nightmare. This was a milestone in my life... and yet now something I'm asking anyone that can, to please help save it from repeated flooding and water damage. Unaware this was a past issue, I'm faced with devastating restoration costs in order to maintain the preservation and integrity of my home's internal and external structure.
This past week, we received significant amounts of rainfall and the NWS issued flash flooding in this area. Because of untreated damage over the years before I lived here, rainfall continues to pour down/through parts of the roof and pipes as ground water surges in, flooding the inside of my home with 18-24 inches of water.
Winter temperatures are still in the mi…

Vitamins for Happy Tresses

Nobody wants to think about thinning hair, and when extra strands start blanketing your bathroom floor it can be very scary. As women, we tend to put our locks through the ringer by blow-drying, straightening, coloring, and raking a brush through wet tresses. Big no no. But everyday stress and hormonal imbalances play a part too. Hair loss afflicts men and women and to some degree, it's perfectly normal. But it can be a sign of a more serious problem so it's important to take those vital steps in improving your hair health and that means taking your daily vitamins.
