The Rush of Creating and Selling

As most of you already know, I'm an artist with a serious crush on photography. Many times, I've even shared various websites where my prints and originals are for sale. However, what I typically omit from my blog posts is the overwhelming feeling of accomplishment when I sell my original works of art. I create something, bravely share and promote my vision to the best of my ability and then someone other than me has a desire to love and appreciate it enough to put it on display in their home or office (!?!). It's insane in the best way possible! This undeniable feeling of joyful awe and gratitude will almost certainly never dissipate. I'm incredibly thankful and, honestly, it feels something like drinking bottled happiness.

Long story short, it wasn't that long ago that I discovered Saatchi Art (an online gallery connecting artists with collectors) and thought, what the heck. Why not list a few pieces and see what happens. Well, this past week brought some wonderful and completely unexpected moments because I sold two paintings! This isn't the first time I've sold my work but wow, I mean what a rush! I literally spent hours packaging, panicking and perfecting presentation so that hopefully when the paintings arrive, my amazing new customers will be just as happy on the receiving end as I am on the supplying end.

Anything is possible, and sometimes those much-needed moments come when you least expect them. Thank you for letting me share this great news, and thank you for supporting my work. xoxo Bella

More originals for sale with budgets for every art lover!

I'm so excited for you! I just started an Etsy page about a month ago and haven't had any luck yet. I've mostly been getting commissions by word of mouth so far. I heard about Saatchi recently and was thinking about listing a few things there....maybe I will! =)

Glad to see this up and about in the net. The key thing here is to build up your art as an online brand, then utilize the online media outlets as a means with which to market it and put it out there.

The Writing Wall

Affronted by a (practically) nonexistent warning sign, the weather-beaten plastic dangling idly from a nearby telephone pole, clearly stated, Private Property . Even though our previous attempt at this location resulted in a prying patrol car… the graffiti mural, a derelict carcass of a once prominent amusement park, was obviously too wicked to pass blindly. Sprinting around with certain schoolgirl giddiness, the ridiculous amount of camerawhoring was starting to feel like some new Olympic sport. But before finally fleeing the scene, we noticed the black and red letters smeared across the far right side of the building that perhaps claimed an excuse to previous visitors. ' The Devil Made Me Do It' . Disturbing to small degrees, it did seem outwardly apropos to our deviant trespassing acquisition… our forbidden spray paint entertainment. Raindrops on roses

No doubt, the unpredictable weather could easily be diagnosed with some clinical personality confusion… because apparently, these days, Mother Nature is watching a lot of Girl Interrupted. So amidst the come and go as you please thunderstorms as well enduring television alerts for all of suburbia, we came to a mutual agreement that playing around in the backyard was all the further we needed to travel. Around the Museum

Adept to artistic recreation, I wrenched this blue button-down from the retirement section of my closet… evidently, I’ve been on some sort of 007 sewing safari. Sated with a neo-trashy romanticism, its charming DIY imperfection materialized this impromptu photo excursion, even though I should have been working. But from the sun-drenched corners of a museum shop, I rubbed out the shadows of a recent stress purgatory, as the city voice seemed a tangible reawakening. Shirt, DIY (Meadham Kirchhoff inspiration).
