Reality Bites

This past week has been more engaging than I could've ever imagined, and now it's back to reality. Whimper-whimper. Extracting the downtrodden feeling, I'm reallllly tired from unreserved amounts of blithe frolicking... but all was worth it. We took roughly 6749365 pictures, so I'm planning a little documentation over the next coupla days, but bear with me... it's a process.

Oh, and the handbag was one of my great Goodwill finds... $800 Gustto for 12 bucks!

Bella! I like the effect yuou made in your second picture. Its so interesting and cool! Eep. I like the continuity form black and white --> colour :P

Which i'm glad you did because that bag is such a beautiful colour. I think detailing can make all the difference between something bla-ce and FABULOUS. I like the roped effect of the handle its just interesting. You seem to accumulate so much beautiful bags haha. Thats a good thing of course :)

Stone Cold

Just a spoonful of dirty glamour... makes the medicine go down. It was cold, damn cold… practically subzero. And while we remained officers of style to such an abominable climate, it was a long night of semi-traffic disobedience, parking lot larking, and wicked misbehavior, as we rallied about for ice cream and liquid courage. Not to mention the severe photo contingency that kept us blind-sided from the florescent storm of an external flash. (!!) At midnight, she mentioned the boys in the band… and then purposefully neglected any amount of etiquette. But we’re not dolls… we’re rambunctious and sometimes we fuckin swear too much… so which of us is perfect? I was completely stoked (!) when Jess over at ClothesCaptioned e-mailed me and subsequently asked if I'd agree to a feature/write-up ... amazing stuff. Thanks Jess, you rock! And I'm sending out special thanks to a few righteous babes for so thoughtfully thinking of me... Fashioncupcake (for my amazing blog award), and to T...

You'll find us amongst the fields of light

Considering the original destination for this set of pictures has since transformed into a future development site, swarming with what my friend incessantly referred to as ‘sweaty construction dudes’, we nixed the idea and pressed forward. Insert operation plan B. After several minutes of semi-deliberation fading into the background of the Eagles Hotel California , we ended up on an obscure road that led only to fields of corn and unexplainable light falling over us like curtains. But finally, my sharp-shoulder infatuation has been commemorated. ( Queen's Wardrobe Long Devil T with added DIY shoulder pads, Forever 21 skirt, Colin Stuart ankle boots)

Designs by Bella: Vintage Lollipops x Magazzini del Sale Capsule Collection

Last year, Italian designer Graziano Moro of Magazzini Del Sale contacted me about collaborating and designing a five-piece Limited Edition capsule collection for their SS 11 Love Can Change the World t-shirt line. Having never been given such an incredibly surreal opportunity before, you can imagine my absolute surprise... followed by some sort of psychotic jubilation. At the time, I'd only been drawing for about a month, which means the designs you're seeing are some of my very first artworks! Brainstorming endless possibilities, the process began with a series of sketches, clipart graphics, and silhouette collages until I further conceptualized the vision by deciding to submit only my illustrations.  After presenting numerous options, Graziano and the team exclusively selected their top picks... and after several months of diligence, reworking, and constant communication, my artwork was transformed into a beautiful line of ecru shirts forever deemed, Vintage Lollipops x M...
