Cerise wants to be a Nasty Gal

Before disconnecting the major artery to the internet last night, via my tired laptop, I checked my email and there it was... an opportunity to be one of fifteen featured in Nasty Gals' first magazine! I have no idea if they'll even consider my artwork, but I took a chance because this little pink-haired girl wants to be nasty!

Madame Trouser

Here’s a sight rarely seen… trousers! Bolstering a spunky need for change, the androgynous feel masquerades as something of the fashionably divine. Once ambivalent, I decided to lay down the gauntlet and finally flaunt my denim cutoff infidelities. But where I live, it gets blasted hot, agonizingly so… and this inferno humidity can sometimes lead to stylistic disadvantages among those ever-vindictive wardrobe challenges. I mean seriously, the suburbanite ambiance is crinkled with shades of russet and leaves are falling down like rain, despite the somersaulting 60 to 80 degree variances. A common belief in the world of comfortable apparel repetition … if I wasn’t perpetually addicted to one thing, wouldn’t I just be addicted to another? Perhaps, the proverbial tatty white t-shirt?

You'll find us amongst the fields of light

Considering the original destination for this set of pictures has since transformed into a future development site, swarming with what my friend incessantly referred to as ‘sweaty construction dudes’, we nixed the idea and pressed forward. Insert operation plan B. After several minutes of semi-deliberation fading into the background of the Eagles Hotel California , we ended up on an obscure road that led only to fields of corn and unexplainable light falling over us like curtains. But finally, my sharp-shoulder infatuation has been commemorated. ( Queen's Wardrobe Long Devil T with added DIY shoulder pads, Forever 21 skirt, Colin Stuart ankle boots)
