Elizabethan


I'm not sure why it's taken so long to fall in love with the fluidity and texture of canvas, as opposed to the wood panel I'd previously been using, but now I'm absolutely smitten.

This piece: What most people don't know about me is that I have a longstanding and somewhat unrelenting fascination with the reign of Queen Elizabeth, so here's a glimpse of my latest Elizabethan inspired girl, Sahpeene. She's the second piece (ever) in my new canvas series!

Well, today’s officially my birthday, and even though we’ve been impulsively celebrating for the last three days… we had an unbelievable time entertaining the idea of these ridiculously fun pictures. I admit, there were a few larger than life bubblegum mishaps that probably should’ve come with a public warning, a lot of crazy fits of laughter, four Chihuahuas scheming to pilfer the giant lollipop, a couple of indiscriminately tongue-n-cheek choice phrases, spilled Heineken, torn fishnets, and several let’s pause because my ribs hurt moments. But at the end of all these wicked shenanigans (and the hilarious fact that Ben rocked the masquerading drunk look perfectly), I realize we have no immunity whatsoever when it comes down to flexing the happy muscle. Face Time with Red Wine

Through the looking glass of a little green Beetle... Unaffected, I paid little attention to the insufferable ambiance that lent a mere 22 degrees or to an audience of six casual observers who felt it mandatory to applaud the larking about of my camera love child. So we clambered into the cold steel of one such orphaned shopping cart and went on our happy way. Special thanks to the lovely Vicen for featuring me in LOOK 10 ... thanks a million sweetie! It tasted like monkey business

I’m not sure if it’s the proverbial coffeehouse writer in me or the simple fact that expensive latte concoctions remain a permanent fixture to all the days of my life ending with the letter y. But at this point, I’m officially deeming this tasty little sidekick, otherwise known as caffeine arm candy… my newest/most traveled accessory. P.S.
