The Leather Satchel

When Gail from The Leather Satchel Company contacted me with the amazing opportunity to choose a satchel of my choice to review, keep, and love forever I practically fell out of the chair. I'd been lusting after one of these gorgeous bags for the longest time, because while it may sound a bit unconventional, I thought it perfect for gallivanting about the sculpture park with my trusty writing supplies  swinging idly at my side. So like a springboard into the sea of opportunity, I leapt at the idea of writing about how much I adore the vintage aesthetic and sinuously detailed structure that creates an effortlessly downtown sophistication.
A family company since the late 1960s, The Leather Satchel Company strives for high-quality standards that are evident down to the stitch by their meticulously crafted leathers. What's even more amazing about these "quintessentially British" satchels is the assortment of available colors (dying over neon pink) and the 5-year artisan guarantee that comes with each purchase... so I won't have to worry about bumps and bruises!

Aw, even Chloe, Story, and Jilly love it!

(Proenza Schouler sunglasses, Merona tee I slept in, Vintage DIY Levis, British Racing Green satchel c/o The Leather Satchel Company, Target Fedora, Black agate ring and cross bracelet c/o Alex and Vina, Jeffrey Campbell Camp sandals, Vintage necklaces and Egyptian bracelet, Elcin diamond watch)

Ahh I haven't seen that color before. It reminds me of an American Apparel polish I love but can't remember the name of...nope, it's not coming to me.

Amazing! I'm kind of dying to get my hands on those structured satchels that everyone raves about. It's just choosing a color that hard. xoxo

The Rush of Creating and Selling

As most of you already know, I'm an artist with a serious crush on photography. Many times, I've even shared various websites where my prints and originals are for sale. However, what I typically omit from my blog posts is the overwhelming feeling of accomplishment when I sell my original works of art. I create something, bravely share and promote my vision to the best of my ability and then someone other than me has a desire to love and appreciate it enough to put it on display in their home or office (!?!). It's insane in the best way possible! This undeniable feeling of joyful awe and gratitude will almost certainly never dissipate. I'm incredibly thankful and, honestly, it feels something like drinking bottled happiness.  Long story short, it wasn't that long ago that I discovered Saatchi Art (an online gallery connecting artists with collectors) and thought, what the heck. Why not list a few pieces and see what happens. Well, this past week brought some
