There I was, standing hypnotically in an empty room that was destined to become the closet of my dreams. Gazing upward to the rows of cherry wood, the empty shelves lined in sequence as I shrank beneath a wall that seemed to grow taller with such unavoidable psychotic jubilation.  I meant to share these pictures a while back, and hopefully you'll see the hard work my mom and I put into remodeling/revamping/redesigning this room. It was really one of those surreal fantasies that feel like they'll always be just fantasies , until the very last nail solidified a realization that it had all finally come together. I've made it no secret that I'm completely infatuated with the notion of adorning everything with Peter Pan collars. It's basically become the Holy Grail of must-haves... well, that and crushed velvet. And while it probably seems I'm stockpiling for some apocalyptic Victorian lace extinction, I still love the other pretty frocks mingling in my closet. (Vintage and Rodarte for Target) 

Remember a few weeks back when I mentioned collaboraing with my mom for the undertaking of a big closet makeover challenge? Well, I've been meaning to share this for a while, so here's little sneak peek to bring you up to date on the final outcome that is absolute heaven. There have already been moments when I've caught myself just sitting there, gazing around with eyes wide as saucers, soaking up the unparalleled surreality of actually having a dream closet that seems more like a burlesque dressing room.
