Vintage Lollipops

I meant to share this a couple of months ago...I guess, time got away from me. So here's one of my first Charcoal Series illustrations, Grace, in her entirety! Finally.  Have a fantastic weekend everyone! 

When I created this modern Rapunzel inspired piece a few weeks ago, I remember staring at it, pre-robin's eggs, and thinking it needed something more. Something special to help set it apart. After walking away from it, envisioning and almost obsessively deliberating ideas, I came back with the notion that a simple bird nest just seemed to be the most sensible solution. Prints, totes, tees and pillow cases now available!

I showed a little instagram sneak peek  the other day of one of my latest watercolors, inspired by all you badass Nasty Gals, so I wanted to share another here!

Lately, I'm having a pretty incomparable love affair with watercolor and Gouache paint (similarly referred to as opaque watercolor)... this one's inspired by the beautiful Alexandra Spencer of 4th and Bleeker. Approximate time: 6 hours

~Zephany, Pilgrimage Collection~ Just added this little girl to the print shop... hope you like her! I tried something different from the typical prismacolor/pastel and decided to use a charcoal/India ink combination on parchment paper to nurture the archaic aesthetic.
