Here's the fifth drawing in my nature series! It's been really fun experimenting with charcoal and I'm excited to move forward with some new colorful pastel work. Home for the Holidays

Santa Baby, I realize you've been particularly busy, what with the elves bogarting the majority of your time with notorious marshmallow fights and the sudden reinstatement of hot chocolate… not to mention those other precarious activities involving one sequestered sleigh bell. Let’s be honest, Dondor throwing his back out during that impromptu flight simulation and the sticky candy cane incident with Blitzen no one’s talking about, certainly has caused a rift in your mission-provoking schedule. But if you'd please FedEx/USPS/UPS the following items to my Christmas tree this holiday season, I’d genuinely appreciate it. Obviously, I've been exceptionally bad… I mean good and only moderately naughty this year... a few misdemeanors, bar fights, F*** you slip-ups, madcap coffee addictions, and obsessive online shopping-revelry certainly doesn ’t warrant a stocking full of coal, right. In Her Final Hours

Goodbye my baby girl.  Through and through, no ifs, ands, or buts I'm what you'd call a "Pet Person". My little ones are like my children...sometimes this even includes the neighbor's pets.  Yesterday I lost my beloved kitty and there is intense pain that accompanies this loss. In her final hours, she appeared frail, unable to walk...diluted and unlike the feisty feline that I'd spent the last 13 years nurturing. A significant and constant part of my life, even in her passing, she fought to stay with me.  There's a glimpse of comfort in knowing we have deeply loved and cared for her to the very best of our abilities. I'm grateful for all her bossy silent meows and a million scratchy tongue kisses. I'm even grateful for the days when I'm sure she thought I was her maid. Holding her in my arms one last time, trying to accept her looming death felt like a nightmare but watching her suffer as End Stage Renal Failure submer
