It wasn't always like this

One more look back on 2012.

If you know my blog, then you definitely know I don't generally post personal fashion in the most traditional of ways... and looking back through some my favorite images over the last year reminds me of this certainty. It's been quite a transition from the beginning of Vintage Lollipops, where stepping in front of the camera in my new favorite pair of shoes has since been (mostly) replaced by the discovery of visual arts and illustration. Trust me, I still love my shoes! And my stuff! And my clothes!

But honestly, as much as this blog has transformed, the same can said for my personal life. From a handful of drawings that literally started in October 2010 to the slow experimentation in 2011, most of my creative discovery in the art world occurred in 2012, which has certainly seen it's days of career path confusion. But it also makes it a milestone that I'm forever grateful for because now more than ever, I feel I've found my voice... and that in itself is something so often easier said than done.

Thank you for sticking with me through this journey!
