Mystery magazines † platforms

(close-up sample of vamp girl painting that I finished last month)

When I'm sick, and I mean the kind of sick when every cold symptom stamped out on that bottle of NyQuil feels like a personal vendetta for the flu shot I meant to get, the last thing on my to-do list is having my picture taken. On the other hand, randomly cell-photographing everything in sight, practicing funky nail art 101, trapping myself in the art studio amongst little piles of crumpled tissues resembling abstract clouds, reading Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine, using Tumblr until my fingers bleed, online shopping, and reacquainting myself with Balenciaga was just what the doctor ordered.

But the long and short of it is that when I finally got home, a welcomed voice on the answering machine said they had my belongings safe and sound... minus the cash that had been removed during its prior abduction. So thank you Jessica for finding it, driving 60 miles out of your way so that I could retrieve it, and for saving me unwarranted amounts of angst. Watercolor Wonderland x Nasty Gal

When I was first contacted by NG and asked to design a few exclusive illustrations/paintings, I'm pretty sure my response was some highly intelligent verbiage falling along the lines of, "Wha-um-can't breathe. OMG am I dreaming?" But okay, here's a totally cliché moment... dreams come true!
