Mr. Big Bradshaw

Tulle be or not Tulle be… now there’s the obligatory question.

At the crossroads of Radically Chic Street and Shopaholics Anonymous, I’m bordering a quasi-suburbanite logic that if I can’t gallivant merrily about New York… why don’t I just bring a little Sex and the City to a vicinity near me?

Feeling somewhat zingy-zangy over the looming Halloween trickery, a fashion epiphany struck like a subtle carnage knocking at my door. Inevitably, this was followed by a swarm of butterflies in the pit my stomach that most experience while falling in-love. A mere 25 dollars and 12 grueling hours later, my Carrie Bradshaw/Neo-prima Ballerocker skirt was conceived, and I have my sewing genius mother to thank… because frankly, I can’t whip a stitch.

The Blahnik of skirts everywhere, the couture in a sea of converse, the gossamer kingpin… it is now the First Lady of my wardrobe.

Lucky is teaming up with TheSupermelon.com and holding a smaller/separate contest for their "Style Your Jeans"... so if you're interested in winning uber-cool prizes while touting your give-all fashion, then click the link below and follow the contest instructions. It's simple. Take the "My Denim Transformation" Challenge and show'em what ya got!

Pfffffffff And such a scorching declination of "immaculate néo-romanticism" !!! I am sure (and the -"oddly GLAMOURissime" -forecast ) is easy !!!) that many persons would like to be the "Sex And The City-esque Mr Big" with a statuesque ballerina as You !!!!!

I would email you more in depth about what you commented in my blog, but I don't see it in your page? Anyway, don't sweat it, we all get it. You can't escape it, unfortunately. As my Mom says, "there's one everywhere..." if you know what I mean.

Anyhow, I look forward to your comments, when I get an email saying "Bella" has left a comment for you in your blog, I feel all cheery like. Your drunk in the boots comment made me laugh out loud. I slip them on and off, like they were made for me. Everyday I want to wear them. Many more outfits to come with those babies. ;)

Keep on inspiring!

Gunmetal Laces

The hillside was far more treacherous than it actually appeared, and even though I didn’t foresee clambering up and down the jagged terrain… my 8-year-old nephew (among others in our brood) got a real kick out of thinking I was some sort of neophyte Pink Power Ranger. Pity I left my blade blaster, metallic armor, and spandex suit at home. Not sure about spandex, but if you and all your friends want to start your own gang of crime fighting superheros, you'll need some matching outfits... something stylish of course.  (RTBU sweater, Topshop skirt and Emma Cook boots)

The Carousel Ride

A little storytelling... A modicum of silence swallowed the room as dusty shards of sunlight patterned the multicolored carpet. Decorated with an army of garish jewelry, everything jingles, almost intentionally, as the woman perched behind the large candy counter brushes invisible lint from her blouse. Her silvery hair is the color of cotton candy. She offers a genuine smile before shifting her gaze downcast towards her slender hands. Briefly, she examines their delicate surface that is creviced by time and wiser than yesterday. At four quarters per ride, it was a small price for six minutes of uncontaminated childhood reminiscence to sweep the memory warehouse. And while we kept the company of an epoch 1920’s carousel, 60 handcrafted horses, and funky reindeer, we went round and round, faster and faster… letting it take us to those secret places we almost forgot existed. --Bella H. p.s. In lieu of those who have so thoughtfully given me awards and spotlight features... YOU'RE AM

The Writing Wall

Affronted by a (practically) nonexistent warning sign, the weather-beaten plastic dangling idly from a nearby telephone pole, clearly stated, Private Property . Even though our previous attempt at this location resulted in a prying patrol car… the graffiti mural, a derelict carcass of a once prominent amusement park, was obviously too wicked to pass blindly. Sprinting around with certain schoolgirl giddiness, the ridiculous amount of camerawhoring was starting to feel like some new Olympic sport. But before finally fleeing the scene, we noticed the black and red letters smeared across the far right side of the building that perhaps claimed an excuse to previous visitors. ' The Devil Made Me Do It' . Disturbing to small degrees, it did seem outwardly apropos to our deviant trespassing acquisition… our forbidden spray paint entertainment. (Vintage sequin butterfly shirt, Betsey Johnson tights, F21 skirt & jacket, Bakers fringe boots)
