Snow Series~ 18x24" drawing

With an exhaustive precision, I knew what I wanted for this drawing, so instead of ruminating over inspirational peaks and valleys, I took the image already painted in my mind and positioned her on a much grander scale. The bigger, the better, I thought.
Gweneira is a combination of HB/2B pencils, colored pencils, chalk, and oil pastels on medium 18x24" recycled paper. And regardless the fact that I endured scores of painful, little paper cuts while ruining one of the coziest vintage knit sweaters ever in existence- a sweater I shouldn't have been wearing in the studio- I absolutely adore her. Every time I look at the end result, I find myself gravitating more and more towards the notion of a Limited Edition collection, so today I'm starting my second piece of the 'Snow' series.

P.S. The Holiday Swagger-Bag Giveaway is coming!

So, so lovely! Things like this makes me really wish I was a little less artistically incapable. Do you do illustrations? X

You have so much talent, Bella! I had no idea you were such a beautiful artist. Sorry to hear about the papercuts - I guess it goes with the saying that all artists suffer for their craft?
Seriously, congrats on a beautiful, beautiful drawing!
