quixotic gypsophilia

Photography by Alex Niedt
Unkempt fields, cicadas, florid conversations, gypsies, a cavity of itchy weeds, two feathers caught in the wind, and light glazed by the elements of nature.

(Jeffrey Campbell harness boots, Vintage gypsy skirt, feathers, and bracelets, Forever 21 tank and oval/cross connector rings)

this is a great concept for a shoot, whimsical and lovely. But the piece that most catches my eye is that AMAZING ring, statement accessories like that can make or break a look and you work it to perfection. X

The Body

You can barely see it in the last post , so here's a clearer picture of   what I've been working on in my new art studio... not that it hasn't come with little stop your heart stress moments.   The first time I attempted this piece, now referred to as The Body , was mutually as terrifying as it was exhilarating. It was the first full hand drawing I'd ever attempted, and everything was going smoothly until the moment I decided to incorporate oil paint, also the first in my artwork experiences. My grandmother was an award-winning artist, but now, without her wealth of knowledge and go-to advise, this is really a learning/teach yourself process. Jeffrey Campbell x Solestruck Box It Up

I bet many of you heard about (or even entered) the Jeffrey Campbell x Solestruck Box It Up challenge that took place last month that's giving one lucky person the opportunity to score $1000 worth of JC shoes and be the inspiration for the next shoebox design. About my design: When I first learned of the challenge via e-mail, I got super excited at the prospect of designing and illustrating something that would appeal to the masses amongst our little shoe-obsessed demographic. I get asked a lot of interesting questions regarding my own shoe collection, so I spent the afternoon rummaging through the multicolored stacks of shoeboxes and paying particular attention the many labeled Jeffrey Campbell. The search for inspiration wasn’t difficult, and soon I knew ex
